Charles Crook

A Revolutionary War soldier who lived a portion of his life in Cattaraugus County.

Service: Served in the Revolution from New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York.

Life: Born in Connecticut in 1751. He moved to Coldspring, Cattaraugus County, from Holland, Erie County, in 1822. Though he spent time in Coldspring, he lived primarily in Erie County and is buried in Holland, NY.

Family: Married Polly Chandler (1759–1833). They had four sons: Stephen, Asa, Elijah, and Nathan.
